M365 Security Shorts Part 5: Office 365 Message Encryption.
This post is part our #M365SecurityShorts series, created to highlight some of Microsoft 365’s security orientated functionality that’s likely going to be useful to many organisations.
Configure OME to Automatically Encrypt Emails
We’re returning to M365 specific functionality this week, and the feature we’re covering in this short was originally introduced way back in 2018.
Office 365 Message Encryption (OME) can be utilised to encrypt emails destined for a specific address, domain or even all external correspondence.
In this short we configure just the very basics (there are many options/features with OME) to ensure emails sent to Gmail addresses are automatically encrypted.
